Louis Godinez: Killed In Folsom Prison By Rock Slide

Louis Godinez was born in 1904 in California, he had was arrested in 1923 in Bakersfield, CA for violation of the Wright Act and served 3 months.

THE WRIGHT ACT

California can feel proud that the] majority of h«r citizens expressed themselves as favoring obedience to. and enforcement of the national prohibition law at the election on Tuesday of last week. It surely would have been a stain upon the good name of our great state If the majority of tho people had voted against supporting the Supreme Law of the Land (The United States Constitution.) The prohibition enforcement act means that prohibition is going to be enforced in California by local and state authorities backed up by the federal officers. We have a lot of "bootleggers" here in Mariposa County and their days are numbered. If the citizens of the county will co-operate with the officers a grand clean-up can be made.

He then moved on to bigger and better things, ending up in San Quentin on 17 May 1925 for Robbery and was sentenced to a term of 1-2 years as Inmate #40865.Paroled on 9 Jun 1925. Discharged on 21 Mar 1933.

As time goes on he doesn't get into trouble until 1934 yes one year after his release, when he is received at Folsom Prison on 14 Jul 1934 at age 30 for Assault With a Deadly Weapon and gets a term of 1-10 years as Inmate #19001

Now you may notice his discharge date as 3 Mar 1944. This is not a true statement. He was killed by a rock slide inside the walls on 14 Jul 1934 and is buried in the Folsom Cemetery, FAG #172195228.
