 Was born 27 September 1911 in Wellington, Collingswood, Texas, to George Washington Dickey, who was 56 years old at the time. George Washington Dickey was born in Nashville, TN and had 2 other children with his wife Martha Emma Jones age 36 when Samuel was born.

 She was born in Joplin, MI and have 4 other living children at the time, she was a house wife.

When Dave Dickey was 19 year.s old he was sentenced on 6 April 1931 for Larceny and received 3 to 4 years and cost of $8.30. He plead guilty and was received at the New Mexico State Pen on 7 April 1931. His prison record says he's married and has 1 child.

His wife was Lottie Pearl Watson born 4 Dec 1910 in Rule, Haskell, Texas. She divorced Dave in 1947. She died 5 Feb 2000 in Caldwell, Canyon, Idaho and is buried in Hillcrest Memorial Garden in Caldwell.

Dave Dickey (Samuel David Dickey) died 15 April 1972 in Lomita, Los Angeles, CA. He was cremated and his ashes were given to his family.
Dave was a mechanic and painter by trade when he went to prison, and only had a high school education.

He was called "Big Dave"

Her Obituary: Lottie Pearl Watson, 89, of Caldwell, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000 at a Caldwell hospital. Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, under direction of the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Mrs. Watson was born Dec. 4, 1910 in Rule, Texas to William and Estelle Burdine. As a very young child, she moved with her family to Melrose, New Mexico, where she lived until 1945. She married Dave Dickey in 1929 and they divorced in 1940. In 1945, she moved to Homedale and married Arthur Watson. They divorced in 1947. She worked for the J.R. Simplot Co. for 23 years and retired in 1972. In 1975, she moved to Caldwell where she has since resided.
Surviving are two children, Verna Spickler of Nampa and Jack Dickey of Homedale; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ernest Burdine and Claude Burdine.

Jack David Dickey, 73, of Homedale, Idaho lost his battle with cancer July 19, 2007 in a Boise hospital with family present. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday July 25, 2007 at the Mountain View Church of the Nazarene (Corner of Ustick and Batt Corner Rd.) Interment will follow at the Marsing-Homedale Cemetery. Jack was born on Nov. 30, 1933 in Melrose, N.M. to Samuel David Dickey and Lottie Pearl Burdine Watson. Jack married Marie Clone and raised four children. Jack and Marie remained married until her death in 1998. Jack received an honorary discharge from the U.S. Army after serving in the Korean War. Jack had other jobs working in the coal mines and oil fields but his calling was working for the Homedale Police Department for 27 years before retiring. Jack spent the remainder of his years with his special friend Rose Mary Martinez. They enjoyed years of traveling, fishing and holidays with family. One of their favorite pastimes was playing cards with his only sister, Verna Spickler of Nampa. Jack is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Jack is survived by his children, Barbara and her husband Christopher Norton, St. Maries Idaho, Irma and her husband Dick of Indian Cove, Idaho, his only son David Dickey and his wife Maureen of Eagle, Idaho and Rita and her husband Charles Jacobsen of Hammett, Idaho along with numerous grandkids, great-grandkids and nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Dickey, parents Samuel David Dickey, Lottie Pearl Watson and step-daughter, Lorene Murphy. Memorials may be sent in lieu of flowers to Idaho Peace Officers Memorial Fund, PO box 37, Meridian Idaho 83680-0037. 208-884-7231.
