Now Harry was not happy that the judge threw the book at him and him and a fellow inmate decided to escape. Below are the newspaper articles I found.

Harry met it in the end and was buried in the Folsom Prison Cemetery dying 1 Dec 1905 with a rope around his neck for killing a guard during their escape attempt.

He has a Tree I made on Ancestry and a FAG Memorial #17195220

Eldridge was a leader in the Folsom State Prison break on July 27, 1903, being part of a group of 13 convicts who rushed the captain's office, captured the warden, captain, and several guards, then made their escape across Mormon Island into the mountains. Eldridge was captured in Seattle a year later and brought to trial where he was convicted of the murder of Guard William Cotter. Before his execution on the gallows, he said he was ready to die. He was a hard mean man and was kicked out of California by a judge once.

This was the last mugshot taken of Harry after he returned from his escape and before he was hung.
