Of the thirteen who got away seven were never Captured. Wood was caught and- hanged himself on the eve of his execution.
Several newspaper accounts say Fred died in the escape yet I found all those newspaper clippings about him. One clipping said he drowned in the river by the prison during an escape.
I would of like to of known more about him.
