The above link is an article about a party he was suppose to have in his prison cell. But he couldn't attend because he was in solitary confinement. It's hilarious how they wrote the article like he's at Summer Camp.

His was was arrested along with him because she was the getaway driver. Their son was one years old at the time and they didn't have any money to feed him so they were going to rob this store but the night watchman caught Lee in the act and shot him and Lee shot back. The Night watchman was shot in the arm and it went clear through. Lee however wasn't as lucky, and almost died.

Lee died 1 Dec 1962 in San Francisco, CA, This was his only crime. He was obviously a very bright man to be able to make liquor in prison from lemons and hide it from the guards. Plus ice cream! I bet those guards were talking about this for a very long time and the inmates must of known after the fact as well, I wonder what it was like when he was released from the dungeon.
