Fred E Aingel was born Eugene L Bailey Oct 1867 in Texas to Cyrus W Bailey (1832-1912)and Sarah Gott (1845-1875).

BY POISONING John H. Black, Prominent Citizen of the Gallatin Valley, the Victim. HIS WIFE IS SUSPECTED In Coroner's Jury Return That Death Was Caused by Poison Administered by Her. The Bozeman Avant-Courier of Oct. 12 contains the following account of a mysterious case of poisoning which occurred at Salesville: About two months ago, Mr. and Mrs. A John H. Black and Ira DeLong of near Salesville, had an unpleasant experience, while stopping for a few days at Mrs.  Black's homestead entry, near Camp a creek.

He was a cowhand on a ranch. Old John Black was abusive and  mean and was divorced, then He married again and this wife didn’t take to his verbal abuse. She poisoned him.

He work for the Forest Service as a Ranger for many years in Montana.





Fred's Great-Great Nephew Tim Bailey contacted me and sent me the above letters and a photo of Fred's guns.





The Rifle is a 25/35 and the Pistol is a Colt 32.





In 1923 he had a really bad car accident, another would follow on 6 Feb 1936 that would take hi life near Bozeman, MT. Auto accident severed his spinal cord.






The one question is why did he change his name??

We may never know.

Fred is buried at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Bozeman, MT. His Find-A-Grave Memorial is #51223350, I had his parents attached to him.
