Samuel O Bruner was born in 1869 in Oregon, parents unknown. He was a sheep herder and stole 1500 sheep.

He escaped, and on a horse named Old Salem, the same horse Henry Meeks an outlaw who was pals with the Sundance Kid, a week before.
This letter was in his prison file dated 1903
I found a few newspaper articles
I do not think they got him, if the sheriff in Illinois did get him he must of escaped again. I didn't find anymore articles.
I do not know when and he he died, there were very few records so my thought is after his escape he changed his name.
