whom he said he married 24 June 1929 in Chicago, IL, then later said they married in 1919, his first wife and children were still in Poland and he sucred a divorce. I found no marriage records at all for him in Illinois.

Jan was paroled from prison 21 Apr 1932, 2 years after his oldest children arrived in America from Poland. He died in 1948 in Chicago, IL. Death of his second wife is unknown.

This is a where you should never lie on federal document. 

The records I find very fascinating and there is a wealth of family information here for ancestor's. I made him a tree on Ancestry and there are a few others with none of this information so I am hoping a family member will find it.
