Alice Slavich was born Alice E McCann born about 1877 in California to Patrick Edward McCann (1833-1929) and Jennette "Jennie: Haskett (1854-2927). Alice was Married to Nickolas Slavich and they had the following children.
Jesse 1898-
Anita 1899-
Michael 1903-
Alice 1908-
Her husband Nickolas is with grief and missing his family so he puts an ad in the newspaper.
He must of been fearful that he would never see them again. But by the 1910 census they had all returned home.
Alice's brother Broderick H McCann is a total mystery, I didn't find one document or record for him.
I did look up where they lived and where the Baltimore Restaurant were, map is below.

I did not find any information on the children or their father. The only other information I found was an obituary for one of Alice's siblings.

There are only 2 other trees that have Alice in them on Ancestry, besides the one I made for her, but they don't even have her husband and children listed. So maybe I uncovered a puzzle for a new ancestor to piece together.

Nickolas was running a restaurant/boarding house and Alice had just started helping a few months prior. A gentleman by the name of Fred Sheets (Scheatz) a German fellow, was rooming their and became smiting with Alice. Here are a few newspaper articles explaining the story.
