Effie's first husband was Franklin Joseph Williamson (1881-1932) they married 13 May 1907 in HAmilton, MT and divorced 14 May 1909 in Montana.
Effie was sure her husband Alger was having an affair and confronted him and he denied it. She admitted to killing him and even had a friend drive her to the police station afterward.

Effie never marries again and dies in Los Angeles on 21 Sep 1966. It was said that she had attempted to kill him once before with a gun, while living in Spokane, WA.
She also tried attacking Mrs. Helen Wesben while at the police station. Helen was a neighbor lady of there's who had 4 children.
Maybe jealousy clouded her, took her over and she went crazy, not nuts or insane just crazy.
Effie died 21 Sep 1966 in Los Angeles, CA.
