Clara had a pimple on her eyelid, Frederick had her lay on the table, gave her chloroform laid her on the floor and poured kerosene on her and set her on fire.

Here are some newspaper articles about his crime:

He killed Clara 23 Apr 1903 and he was executed July 1903.

This man led a life of crime everywhere he went. Even though he tried several times to go down the right path he would swerve and go down that hard familiar road of crime. I did not find much genealogy information on him or his wives, at least nothing I added as I am not 100% sure, when I am I will add them. There are no trees for him and I did make one. Also no find a grave. I would think he was buried in the San Quentin Cemetery unless a family member or wife claimed his body.

  1. Frederick Charles Fischer- FindAGrave #274534870 - In the 121 years since the execution of Frederick Charles Fischer at San Quentin, California, no one has connected him to a known Fischer family line. That is, until 23 Aug 2024, when I came across an 1889 admission record from Sing-Sing Prison. Several facts on the intake paperwork piqued my interest. On 6 Sep, 2024, with the confirmation of the listing of his parents on his 1898 marriage record to Mary K. Baker, cross referencing other information from documents and a written family biography, it is believed that this is the person recorded in our family line. It's my objective to show that this individual came from a good, patriotic German-American immigrant family; from the time period before he was born, to the Fischer generations that came after. His legacy is his to bear alone.

    For all eternity.

When Frederick Charles Fischer was born on 20 Aug, 1872 in New York, his father, Frederick, Tailor and Civil War Veteran, was 36 and his mother, Fredericka, was 31. He had two brothers and three sisters. He was baptized on 13 Nov 1872 at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Manhattan, New York City, New York. The church, known in German as Deutsche Römisch-Katholische St. Nicholas Kirche ("St. Nicholas Roman Catholic German Church"), was the national parish for the local German-speaking population from 1833 until it's demolition in 1960. Only the rectory remains today.

In adulthood, Frederick became a "Barber and Wanderer, born 20 August, 1869". He was "last heard from in 1900 and was living in Verona, Pennsylvania..." according to his younger brother, William's 1966 biography. With that information, I was able to build his life from his corrected birth year, forward. He was not born in 1869, but rather 1872. This was verified through census, marriage, birth, prison intake records, from his own statements, and newspaper accounts.
