Wilbur George Fuller was born as William Graham Fuller Jr. 26 Aug 1905 in Chicago, IL to William Graham Fuller & Nellie.
William was in some trouble as a youth.
He did get into trouble when he was on parole and was arrested and held in Tulare County Jail. 23 Aug 1922 and released 25 Aug 1922. He was 16 years old. I believe the Reform school got the name wrong, or he lied, but I am thinking they got it wrong.

Wilbur from here out went by William and so does all his records, He married Mary/Marie born 1910 in Texas and they had a daughter named Betty Ruth born 1928 in Texas. Now the story get's really strange.
William and Marie have a Foster daughter named Salma were a part of a roller skating act in 1948. They were in Chicago, IL and abducted a 5 year old girl named MAry Ann Kubon and took her to New Orleans to be a part of their act. The FBI caught them. I would suggest the relatives get the FBI records.

I wonder what other things they were into, makes me think he had lots of other convictions else where they lived in Texas for a time too.

This poor little girl didn't remember her parents, they must of been relieved that their daughter was alive but what a long road they must of had after that. Children can be resilient and hopefully she wasn't damaged in anyway by her kidnappers.

I did not find any further information on how long or what Federal May Prison he was incarcerated in. I did however find he died 17 May 1991 in Los Angeles, CA
I made him a tree and it's the only one, so sad, he wont be forgotten. He does have a Find A Grave Memorial I cropped his photo and posted it and left him a flower.

Hello great article my girlfriend and I were wondering the same things. I happen to be the biological son of Mary Ann Kubon. I'm Steven S Castaneda. He had such a love for my mother I or we wondered if there's more. Truth be told we the children were told a completely different story. DeleteSorry but I almost forgot I can't or we can't thank you enough for giving links to the news paper clippings I never heard the name Myrtle Kubon and even more never thought I would see a picture of my actual grandmother and great grandmother for my daughter and great great grandmother for my grandson plus precious pictures of my mother as a child.
