She had 14 charges of fictitious check charges against her, her trial was set for September. She eluded police on a foot chase but they caught her. She claimed a George Knox a prisoner from a cell below her in had crawled up the dumb waiter and entered her cell and raped her. Those charges were dismissed. His fellow prisoners took his side in the matter and there was no proof.

She would leave two notes one to her lawyer the other to her mother. She took her sheets and braided them into a rope and tied her hands and stepped on a table and kicked it to her death. Was she depressed because the rape was dismissed or the upcoming trial, or maybe the letter she had recently received from her mother?
I didn't find where she is buried.
I made her a tree on Ancestry and there is one other one that looks like they are related to her husband Frederic Ellis Parks. I left a comment with her information and a little of her story.
