Louis Dabner was born Sep 1899 in California to William Dabner(1858-1907) & Lucinda Silveira (1863-1923). He never married.
His partner:
John Seimson was born 1879 in Hawaii to John Francis H Seimson (1841-1888) and Mary Anna Kaapa (1860-1918). He was married to Hulda Van Hoffen (1891-?). on 31 Oct 1906 in California.
They were known as the Gaspipe Thugs committing murders and robberies in San Francisco, CA.
They were called the Gaspipe Thugs because they purchased a gaspipe from a hardware store and that was the weapon used to murder their victims.

He wrote a diary while he was in prison and it was all written to his mother. It was published in the newspaper and it's not a great copy but it's remarkable.

I didn't find John's other San Quentin record for Grand Larceny I suppose they misspelled his last name.
They were executed 31 July 1908 at San Quentin Prison, hung on the gallows.

As for John's wife Hulda Van Hoffen
BIRTH AUG 1891 • California She walked away from him. She loved having the jewelry and furs his robberies bought but as soon as he confessed she was gone, I am not sure she divorced him but she did get married again to Armando Barney Bonacorsi he was from Italy and died in 2001 in Michigan, according to the city directors, the only records I could find for both of them they were living in San Francisco in 1935.
She was very beautiful.I have no idea when and where she died.
What a story, two families left in turmoil. I would like to know what the other family members died of.
