I had also found an Edward and Alvin Tomala I bet they are cousins or in someway related they too were in and out of trouble.

1940 census Anthony is divorced and living with his sister Anna and her family. Their brother Joseph John Tomala was a watchman (Security) in 1940. Their brother John was a plumber. Anthony had a son die at birth in 1919.
