I found this newspaper article about him and his wife drama.



I never found his Helen. He worked in a papermill for most of his life when he wasn't in trouble. In 1910 he was a machine tender at the papermill. In 1920 while in prison at the Michigan State Pen he was a gatekeeper for East Gate and listed as a widow. He was out in 1930 and working in the papermill again as a paper maker. 

His son Fred was in the State Industrial School at age 13, in the 1920 census, before that he was living with his grandparents. (Father's parent's). 

He was also married several times and had a few kids.
