Alicia "Alice" Marie Mahoney was born 9 Mar 1939 in the Bronx, New York to Alice Swagerman (1905-1980) and Waldron Mahoney (1902-1998).
Alice married Edmund Michael Crimmins (1936-2012). They had 2 children.

She testified that her air conditioner was running in her room the night the children disappeared and the lock on the childrens door from the outside was locked. She also notice a screen off one of the windows.
Neighbors testified that the children on several occasions had gotten out their window and had been seen wandering the yard of the apartment building.
Here are some newspaper articles.
I found these associated press cards on Ancestry, this is what lead me to this story.
The prosecution had two star witnesses Mrs. Earomirski she absolutely didn't like Alice at all, and Joseph Rorech a contractor friend of Alice's. I think they had an affair once. He was scorned.
Alice had many men and it was brought up many times. I feel her affairs over shadowed this case and I believe her to be innocent.
In 1977 a newspaper writer really got up set with the press and wrote this article.
Edmund Crimmins with the children Missy & Eddie
After this horrible ordeal she marries the man she was having an affair with.

BIRTH 18 NOV 1910 • Fort Dodge, Webster, Iowa, USA
DEATH 22 OCT 1998 • Florida, USA
They move to Florida and at some point so does her x-husband Edmund who dies there in 2012, he never marries again.
Alice dies but mysteriously there's no death information only her burial place.
Pinecrest Cemetery in Lake Worth, Palm Beach County, Florida
Too bad she wasn't buried with her children.
I didn't write whole lot because I wanted you the reader to develop your own opinions by reading the newspaper articles. I feel the murders were done by someone else, why weren't the children together? As a mom myself I would think if she did this the children would of been found together. PLus a mother wouldn't of strangled her child she would of drowned them or poisoned them, very few if any would look into their child's face and strangle them, plus the children would of tried fighting back.
Did they check for fingerprints? Did they check the hyoid bone on the son? Her affairs and such should not have affected the trial and neither should the so called boyfriend that stated she admitted the killings. What did he gain?
ReplyDeleteI do not know as the newspaper articles did not say. One would need to order the court records to know more. Thank you for your interest.

She did not die and lives in Pompono, Florida. Her phone number and address are easy to find. I have been very interested in the case too. She is 81 years old.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for letting me know this. I will make the corrections.
