Carrie Apalaruk: Assault With A Deadly Weapon

Carrie Apalaruk was born 14 Oct 1895 Alaska, possibly Cape Nome, AK. She was married to a China Man with the last name of Sang Sing/Fong Sing.
Her stepmother died in McNeil Island Prison and her father John Apalaruk was also incarcerated there several times.

Looks like she committed murder in 1916 and all the Alaskan prisoners were shipped to Colorado State Prison. Here's the newspaper article.

Crime: Giving Liquor to a Native
Term: 1 yr

How scary would that be, she was 17 didn't speak any English. I wonder why they sent her away and didn't just let her be at McNeil.

I did not find any other records, as Ancestry has none for Alaska, which was disappointing. I have no idea when she was married or when she died or who her mother was. Did she have siblings? Did she have children? Who did she murder in 1916, newspaper didn't seem to want to report on that just that she was an Eskimo. I also searched Family Search and found nothing. I am so disappointed.
