I believe they had all meet in California, of course the two being related by marriage helped, William I am not sure how he fits into this but according to the article where they get kicked out of San Francisco, there is a women mentioned by the name of Helen Grey and there are Grey's in the Ellis tree, keeping it in the family I suppose. Pearl was a character and must of decided drug smuggling was easier than burglary and more money earned. Be nice to know what they all died of. Their family must of known most of this as they were gone often especially Pearl being in and out of prison and jail so much. Sad lonely life.
