Samuel Lawrence Shale was born abt 1872 in Missouri, to Samuel Preston Shale & Sarha (Maiden name unknown). He was married to Maude O. (1889-1932) (Maiden Name unknown).

I think he looks pretty good in his mugshot for one who shot himself in the head. Sad case about his wife and having to take care of her for 12 years of her mental illness had to be heart breaking for him. He had just suffered a stroke himself right before making that fatal decision to save her from her pain.

Samuel was committed to an Asylum as was ordered by the court. One month after his released he suffered another stroke that took his life on 17 June 1933 in Denver, CO.

Such a sad story, I made him a tree and added all the information and newspaper articles as well as his mugshot. I found one other tree that had very little information so hopefully they will find what I researched.
