Bernice is a mystery, I found her maiden from the marriage record but I didn't find anything else. What amazes me is there were no other trees for Martin and his family, I made them one. The newspapers gave lots of details but, I feel Bernice lied, she told the paper she was married in Medford, OR and she wasn't, Maybe she wasn't born in Detroit either and maybe Washburn isn't even her maiden name. Someday these skeletons will peak their heads out of the closet and then we will know who she was and who she had become.
