Pasquale Majone: Murder & Attempted Suicide

Pasquale Majone was born 1860 in Italy. He was married June 1881 New York to Catherine Velindine Selta born about 1867, she was 14 years old. Her mother was Maria Velindino Selta.



On 9 Dec 1881 at No. 56 Thompson Street, NYC.
In a fit of jealousy Pasquale accused his wife of being intimate with another man, during the argument he drew his pistol from his pocket and shot his wife in the head. His Mother-in-law heard the shot and rushed into the room and Pasquale shot her. He then turned the gun on himself and shot making a slight wound in his neck.
He was known to carry a pistol with him at all times.



Pasquale was hung 9 March 1883 and was buried 10 Mar 1883 in the Calvary Cemetery.
