Edwin Baldwin. Ulysses Loop and Ozro Perkins will have to stand trial for the murder of Alonzo Wheeler at Samish, WA.
Edwin was the brother to Ulysses wife Naomi Baldwin. It also mentions Atta Worden he and his brother were married to Loop sisters, Atta Worden married Nettie Loop and Dudley Worden married Eveline Loop.

The court room was packed to its utmost capacity with interested spectators, the case being the most sensational ever heard in this court. Not a little feeling is manifested on account of the fact that Baldwin is an old soldier and Wheeler, the man who was Killed, an Odd Fellow. The long feud that had existed prior to the culmination of the trouble, and the fact that the parties are so well known, adds additional importance to the trial Prosecuting Attorney Joiner, in opening the case, said that the prosecution would prove that the killing of Wheeler was the result of a conspiracy between the men accused of the murder.
Counsel in defense of the prisoners said that the attack had been started by Wheeler, who was a bully ana a bad man: that Baldwin was living in fear ol" his life because of the many threats Wheeler had made; that Perkins and Loop were unarmed, and that the theory of premeditated attack by them was silly; that everything done by the defendants was purely in self-defense, and if there was any premeditation it was on the part of White and Wheeler; that in the whole trouble between the parties White pulled the wires and Wheeler was the butty and fighter.
1900 census he is divorced and working as a Timber Farmer in Belfast, Skagit, Washington, he's 35 yrs old. 1910 census his wife Nettie ( Annett "Nettie" Vradenburg) and working as Proprietor in a Pile Camp in Port Williams, Skagit, Washington. 1920 he stayed in Port Williams but now has a Dairy Farm at age 54 and Nettie is gone. 1930 census he is still in Port Williams on his Dairy Farm with his adopted son Chester Loop and a lady named Bertha A Curtin age 62 a widow, he is also listed as a widower. 1940 census he is all alone on his farm at age 75, Ulysses dies8 Apr 1942 in Oak Harbor, Island, Washington.
I looked on several websites trying to find out more about this family and the feud with no luck.
