Blanche B Halderman was born 30 Oct 1879 in Des Moines, Iowa to John Halderman (1823-1909) and Elizabeth Leak (1839-1880).

I only found one newspaper clipping.



I did not find any marriage records for her, but she was a bookkeeper and a stenographer. 


Her father John was a farmer for many years, in his younger years he was a grocer. then in 1900 he was a janitor. He had 3 wives and many children. Photo of her father below.

Blanche was transferred to the women's prison when it opened in 1933, Tehachapi Prison.

She died 24 June 1941 in Bakersfield, CA.

In the article she said the money was for friends and family, I would still think this would be theft regardless of the court believing her story or not.
