Marjorie Ellen Bess was born 19 Apr 1916 in Emmett, Gem,ID, to Glover Cleveland Bess (1885-1975)& bessie Agnes MyLey (1888-1961).

I am shocked that she had been labeled a habitual criminal and they give her a pardon, after escaping and this was her second term.
Her first term she was in for stealing a car with group of others, seems to be a pattern, maybe she was a follower.
Marjorie was married 3 times, I did not find her first husband but his last name was Laudene, #2 Archibald Milbourne married 2 Sep 1941, #3 William Duffy.

During this time from 1934 to her going to prison in 1937, the family went through some horrible events.
on 18 Oct 1936 Donald was driving his car on a Sunday morning with a couple friends of his. His car had been in the shop getting fix and they had picked it up.
Alice went by her middle name of Evelyn. She was her car in Oct of 1938 and was in a car accident.
It's heartbreaking that so much tragedy struck this family all in such a short time.
Marjorie worked in the kitchen prison as a cook, this would be her career, She would work for the school system in Hollister, ID for 17 years.
Marjorie died 23 Nov 2002, I found her obituary, and I found it very interesting, as 2 of her husbands are mentioned and her divorces.
I am happy that she finally got it together in the end, although she never had children, or a long lasting relationship. I hope she happy.
