He had been in trouble before his 1914 incarceration, here's 1904 articles. 

Here is 1915, he had just been released from McNeil Island was not to return to Nevada, but he did.

He just couldn't stay out of trouble. He wasn't mentioned in his father's obituary. He could of been died by then, probably died in prison.

His father was 98 when he died.
