Evans Franklin Gordon was born 25 Jan 1882 in Rome, GA to George Gordon (1858-1910) & Laura Camp (1862-1914).
I found this in Goggle Books.
Seems he served 11 yrs in prison before he was released on parole then served 8 yrs and 3 months on parole before being discharged from it.
Evans was married several times and had the following children.

Evans died 25 Oct 1948 in Los Angeles, CA.
I made him a tree on Ancestry and attached everything I found, there were a couple other trees but they didn't have this info. Some of the other trees has his mother as Laura Kemp, but at looking at their marriage record she signed her name Camp therefore I used it.

Seems awfully silly to kill a man over an unpaid window...i suspect that wasn't the entire story, but who knows. Thanks for sharing, great read.
