Frank Neidl: Petty Larceny

Frank Neidl was born Oct 1859 in Preguel, Austria. He arrived in America in 1885.

Inmate: #4463 Folsom Prison
Rec: 2 Sep 1898
Crime: Petty Larceny
Term: 5 yrs

I found this newspaper article, seems he was wrongly sentenced as his crime was actually a misdemeanor in 1901, after he had already spent a few years in prison.

Frank was a very curious man with several professions, one being a chemist and the other a music teacher, he was also a socialist. I found some newspaper articles.

The above is about an eclipse and earthquake he talks about.

This is more detailed about the above.

This next article he was a witness:

Oct 1886 he was in the U.S. Inf enlisted at Chicago, IL. being honorably discharged due to injury at Santa Barbara, CA.

The 1900 census record mentioned he was married in 1891.

This is all information I have found on Frank.
