Rufus Tadpole was born in 1861 in Tahlequah, OK, to John Tadpole (1829-1874) & Lucinda Lucretia Blackfox (1830-1886).
He was in for another term:
Inmate: #3445 Leavenworth Federal Prison
Rec: 13 Mar 1903
Crime: Larceny
Term: 1 Yr
This term he sold a mortgage on a property he did not own. He was also in prison in Tahlequah in about 1885, as his Leavenworth record states. He was a farmer.
Rufus was married twice not sure which order but I am assuming Lydia Boston (1872-1900) to be his first. They had the following children.
Grover Cleveland Tadpole
1893–1943
Elmer Cullis Tadpole
1895–1994
Elma Tadpole
Mima Tadpole
His other wife was Martha Sitsler.
Rufus died in 1915, he is buried in the IOOF Cemetery in Hulbert, Cherokee County, OK.
Inmate: #2128 Leavenworth Federal Prison
Rec: 29 Apr 1900
