Before coming to Montana in 1893 he was working for the North Pacific Railroad in Mandan, ND. I lived there for 30 some years, beautiful place, it's a twin city to Bismarck divided my the Missouri River.

I found Sarah and Jerry in 1880 census with her children from her first marriage and the children she had with Jerry in Salisbury, Meigs, Ohio. He was a farmer. He was also listed as being mulatto as were their children, she and her children from first marriage are listed as white. I found that to be astounding for that time period. There were only a little over 6,000 people living there in 2000.
It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Al's father Preston Snowden, who is listed on his prison record, so I am wondering if a marriage date for one of his wives are wrong. as AL was born in 1868, or he was a bigamist and had 2 wives and at some point Srah found out and divorced him.
Preston was a Corporal in the Civil War, I found this application for a headstone.
I didn't find any marriages or children for Al. Al died 3 Dec 1939 in Reno, NV.
I wonder if the dogs were fighting each other on their own because they didn't like each other or if they were holding a dog fights.
