Lalla Sara Rubridge was born 4 May 1886 in Colorado, to David Rubridge & Sarah.

She was married to Percival Winfred Browning (1884-1944). In 1910 they were living in Denver, CO and by the 1930 census they were living in San Diego and had 2 daughters, Elvina Browning (1911-1993) & Vida L. R. Browning (1914-1995). By the 1940 census they were divorced and she was living alone and working as a Chiropractor.

I didn't find any newspaper clippings so I have no real story to tell you. I could speculate that her Chiropractor practice was part of a front for the smuggling business. She was also doing this in Denver.
I found a mention of her in her sister's obituary from 1956 New York.
Now isn't that interesting??? There is lots more to this story.
