Rosyln Marcella Peters was born about 1914 in Denver, Colorado, to Alfred S Peters & Cora Irene Hickman.
Inmate: #16043 Denver Jail
Arrested: 6 Dec 1933
Crime: Charging to Other People's Accounts
Age: 19
She was living with her folks on the 1920, 1930 and the 1940 census, along with her 2 brothers. Alfred Drexel Peters (1911-) & Wendell Austin Peters (1915-1977).
In 1940 they were living at 2028 Humboldt St in Denver, CO. I Google mapped it and it is no longer there.
Most people would set up a charge account with stores and pay the balance weekly or monthly. Of course the store would check with their bank and make sure this person was within good standing.

1949 her father was stabbed in the back.

I am thinking she probably hung out at store and watched and listened to people charging to their accounts and would keep track of this information then go back and charge something, maybe she wanted a new hat or pair of shoes and so on. Well she got caught and did jail time and would have to pay back the money.
I didn't find any newspaper clippings on her crime. I have found that Ancestry doesn't have much when it comes to searching Colorado...No birth, death or marriage for early records but they do have divorce records.
Update: Her brother Wendell was a lawyer

1967 her other brother gets arrested.
I made her a tree and attached everything.
I found it an interesting crime because you have pay attention to details and remember things.
