 Bessie was living at 1237 S. Franklin St. in New Orleans at the time of her arrest.

 She was also married to a Mr. Sandorf

 I didn't find any newspaper articles but I found her family, here are her siblings.

 Wasn't easy tracing her tree her last name was misspelled so many times as Mickel, Mickle, Mikle, it was crazy even Michel. But once I figure it out I was able to attach many census records to her tree.

 Bessie died March 1974 in Artesia, CA. She had several siblings that had moved out to California and some to Chicago.

 I wonder what she stole and how long she was in jail.

    The LOPD ID shows a six month prison sentence in 1916. Back then, one pretty much did them all. Early release was rare?
