Alta and Eugenia McCool stole William Farrells car at Balley Round on 8 Nov 1919 his residence, had escaped from the House of Good Shepard at Portland, OR together. The first trial the judge threw the book at her and gave her 2 1/2 yrs to 10 yrs hard labor, as she was being transferred to prison another judge said there was no way they were sending a juvenile to hard labor and reversed the conviction.
