Hugo Albright was born 2 Dec 1880 in St Paul, MN. His grandfather was Rev. Herman F Lossner. He was the founder of St John Lutheran Church in Salem, OR 1896.
Hugo started his criminal career at a very young age of 17. His mother died in childbirth, his father died at age 45 from cancer.
1906 Salem, OR this is after he had already been in reform school.
He was Inmate: #3281 Oregon State Prion
Rec: 30 Nov 1906
Crime: Larceny
Term: 1-15 yrs
After McNeil Island he was transferred to Leavenworth.
Inmate: #8162 Leavenworth Federal Prison
Rec: 5 Sep 1912
Crime: Stealing U.S. Property
Term: 3 years
Discharged: 23 Dec 1913
He had a wife named Elizabeth and they lived in Chicago, IL in 1920. I lost him after that.
It was stated in his records that in 1900 he had a broken sternum. He also had a sister. In 1907 he was committed to Oregon State Prison again for forgery of 2 checks he got 2 yrs on 23 Jun 1907 he was pardoned 4 Nov 1907.
Some of his sentences I think were very lenient, he should have gotten more time first off as a juvenile, and at the Federal level for sure should of gotten more time. His grandfather seemed to take full blame for his grandson's actions according to the link to the newspaper article I posted above. That is really sad. I have no idea when Hugo died but his grandfather Herman died 22 Mar 1915 in Portland, OR.
