I found his WWI draft Card

He returned to Illinois and died 5 Nov 1937 in Sorento, IL

Interesting character, stealing underwear, blanket roll, revolver, Diamonds...That's a bit of an array of items between his 1909 burglary and his 1915 burglary. Guess if it wasn't nailed down and opportunity knocked it was gonna be taken. Sad that the women were terrorized and the little boy, but that little Jack boy sure was a brave hero for 13 years old.

I am 100% sure Maurice was not his name but an alias, he was Morris N Daggett, there are a few trees for him but no one made that connection, but I found they all copied other peoples trees. I made Maurice a tree and added everything to it. His father was married 3 times. I would bet Maurice (Morris) middle name is Nathaniel. His father was a farmer for many years living in Shoal Creek, IL. He was also a Civil War Soldier of the 59th Regiment, Illinois Infantry, Company D  he reached the rank of Corporal.
