Joseph would of been held in a cell like this one.

I wonder why his accomplice was aquitted, must not have had enough proof on his involvement and therefore the jury acquitted him.

Joseph came to America with his parents on the ship Constantia arriving in New York on 11 May 1865 from Le Havre, France. They were from Hesse, France. He was 3 years old.

Joseph migrated to Nova Scotia, Canada and married 16 Feb 1887 in Holy Guardian Angels, L'Ardoise, Richmond, Nova Scotia, Canada. To Ada M Rehberg (1868–1966). They had at least 2 children I found.
