Clayton died 20 Mar 1983 in San Francisco, CA. What happened to their father? Did he die or was he too in prison somewhere. I feel most sorry for this mother, I know she had to of been worried often about her children and if they were ok.
The strangest thing is not finding any newspaper clippings on Clayton's murder rap. I searched several sites and so did a group member of mine on Facebook, and we couldn't find anything. I even Googled him and all kinds of variations. A mystery to be solved.
I found a newspaper article that might be Eliza their mother, looking for Minnie Johnson to let her know her father died. Kansas 1921. I know a couple of her boys lived in Kansas could this be her? Maybe Minnie was her sister.
