I didn't find any newspaper clippings, but I did find him in the 1880 census, there are many spelling variations for his last name.

Unfortunately this is all I found for him.

I wish there was a newspaper article explaining more about his crime, although the record states he stole a vest, watch, chain, and jacket and $211, he also had 2 priors and was in Birdewell Prison. I searched Newspaper.com and Chronicling America (Free Newspaper site).

I love this old record though it listed his sister Mary and her married name.
