James Eagan was born about 1860 in Massachusetts to Edward Eagan & Mary Elleanor Barry.

 Personally I think it was self-defense, even though his brother handed him the gun, William Aubray was armed. Things could of turned out a whole lot different if James wouldn't of taken the gun. James' father Edward had 2 really good trades he was a blacksmith and a plasterer.
