Rebecca was born in Germany in Jun 1846. She first married Mr. Winkleman and they had 2 sons, Frederick & William. Mr. Winkelman died in 1893. She then married Herman Peter Rulffs born 24 Aug 1836 Germany, they married in Alameda County, CA on 13 Oct 1895 and this stirred up family troubles.
Here's a newspaper clipping:

She wanted her son Frederick arrested for threatening her life. Here is photo of the property as it is today.
Hayes & Laguna Streets in San Francisco, CA
I found no other articles on the family troubles, and Rebecca died May 1901 in San Francisco, CA. I found her obituary.

Her husband Peter died 4 Jul 1902
I am sure the probate office would have these records if a family wanted to have them to add to the family history. I would also get court records for the threats, even though Rebecca withdrew her claim there should still be a paper trial and a judge would of signed off on the dismissal.
Interesting case.
