Here's the article for this crime:

He was a US Marine and he was riding the rails from town to town and getting into trouble along the way.
He Enter Service 19 Aug 1946 and was discharged 25 Feb 1948.

According to his WWII Draft Card he was an employee of the Ringling Brother's Circus.

I found a program for 1943 the year he was employed with them.

How exciting was this for him?

As a child I was lucky enough to see them serval times and once in Bismarck, ND in the 1979 they came to town I was really lucky because I watched them set up all the tents and the Broadway.

Here is the time line I put together:

I found the following newspaper articles

California 1959

I am not sure when he died or if he married, as there is another man with the same name but different birthdate and some trees have them all mixed up.

I found a wonderful video about the history of the circus I thought I would add for historical value.
