In 1903 there was an array of burglaries going on in San Francisco, Berkley, Los Angeles, California.

Chloroform (CHCl3) is a colorless liquid that quickly evaporates into gas. It can harm the eyes, skin, liver, kidneys, and nervous system. Chloroform can be toxic if inhaled or swallowed.
If these monkeys were all the same guy then they sure made off with a lot loot and things.
Breaking window locks and entering from fire escapes. I wondering if they weren't casing these joints out first before making their move. These burglaries are called a "Hot Prowl" that's when a burglar enters a place knowing someone is there. I would bet they had criminal records, which explain why they may have not got caught, after perfecting their M.O.(modus operandi).
I found this crime interesting and even though I didn't find names to research, I thought you would enjoy the contents of this crazy story.
