Edward M Leeney: Cold Case from 1926

Edward M Leeney was born 16 May 1893 in Johnson County, IA to William P Leeney (1857-1920) & Hanora E Organ (1866-1957). He was married to Sadie King (1893-1964). 

He was a motorcycle policeman.


He was chasing a furtive when some killed him, he had just started this job. I found some newspaper articles.

















 

The motorist he was chasing was never found and his case is still on the books in Iowa as unsolved. So sad for his family to deal with the aftermath during this time in history, couldn't of been easy for his wife especially.


I am sure it never will be, unless the motorist told someone and that information was pasted down from generation to generation.
