His mistress "Kate" was born Lucy A McLoughlin and she ran a brothel in 1866 at No. 139 Prince St., for some unknown reason (Jerry as some of the papers called him)stabbed her and then tried to kill himself, but the authorities did not think is suicide attempt was real. I didn't find any genealogy information on Jerry, but I made him a tree and I am sure with time a ancestor will contact me someday. In the meantime his story is a sad one with no family connections.
