Here's a 24 year old man accused of robbing a payroll and killing a man, he's a cop, there was $4500 taken and $3900 recovered, he bought a car. He was engaged to Margaret Wogan, engaged 3 years, she has a mental break down before testifying. 
The Tombs Physician said Dan has delusions of grandeur. Was he faking to make a sanity plea? Three employees from the robbery identified Daniel when he robbed Judson  H. Pratt Brooklyn paymaster. Daniel went on a huger strike.

John was a police sergeant and the only family member to attend the trial. The rest of the family sat at John's home together in Rosedale, NY and waited for word from John, he would phone their mother with the verdict. John was married and had 3 children. He claimed the stories Margaret Wogan produced were wrong and he was bitter toward her and the newspaper men.

Daniel Joseph Graham would be found guilty and he would be executed 9 Aug 1928 at Sing Sing Prison. HIs brother John had a son he named Daniel Joseph Graham III.

From the time he left the courtroom to his execution his appearence changed drastically.







I didn't find a memorial for him on Find Grave. He could of had a good life.

His last words

“I am innocent. I was arrested for grand larceny and for assault on a previous occasion, but I was found innocent of those charges. I went into the army during the World War when I was only 15. This is the reward.”
