His nickname was "Juicy" He was also called T.J.

 Thomas was married to Lena Maurine Meeker (1911-1991) and the had a daughter named Patricia. 

He had various jobs, car salesman, gas station attendant (back then you could pull up and someone would pump your gas and you could tip them).

Thomas died Feb 1982 in Fulton, Kentucky.
