On the 26th of December 1899 Thomas was playing poker with Charles McLaughlin in a room that adjoined the main saloon they were in, along with another man by the last name of Gleason. As you can already imagine the scene in your head of these men drinking for many hours and playing cards. These things never end well when there is a winner and a loser or a cheater.


Thomas was discharged 4 Dec 1915 so he spent 15 years of his 24 year term behind bars.
