 Eugene LeRoy had many alias' (O. J. Wood, J. R. Wood, Charles H. Downing, and Eugene LeRoy).  His birth name was Oscar Liggett Fernandez born 1 Jul 1895 in Ponce, Porto Rico, his parents were Francisco Fernandez & Ana Liggett Godfrey.

He married under the of Eugene LeRoy a lady named Katherine Louise Fondren- Jackson, she had been married previously. She was pregnant with his child. It was said by the police that Oscar was in the military and had medical knowledge on how to disembowel a corpse. He took everything out and put her in a trunk and shipped the trunk from Detroit, Michigan to New York. Maybe he did an illegal abortion and tried to cover it up.

There are many more newspaper articles. After I found his passport I found he went to Mexico and he married Ana Louisa Gomez Daza 20 Nov 1923 in Mexico City, Mexico. They had 3 sons. I never found any death information for him and he was never arrested to the murder of his wife Katherine.
The other women claiming to be his wife was Rosette Cummings, I found their marriage records for 8 Feb 1919 Highland Park, MI he married her as Charles H. Downing.
