Irene E. Terrill was born about 1897 in California Her mother's name was Emma, and she had a brother named Eddie. In 1910 they lived in Sacramento, CA. Irene ran away and the newspapers reported on her escapade.

I found this in the Tulare County, California, U.S. Sheriff's Office and Jail Records, 1874-1963 (Ancestry.com)
According to the 1910 census I found Emma was a widow raising her son Eddie who was 19 and Irene was 13
